I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

We stopped for ice cream after Liam's 4 month check-up (and shots! - Mommy needed a malt to calm her nerves). Hard as it is to believe, Liam is definitely Daddy's baby.

Also, the kid is getting big. He is up to 18 pounds 6 ounces in his (probably wet at the time) cloth diaper and 25-1/2 inches long. It must be all that ice cream...

Dr. Newby also said we could start him on rice cereal within the next two months. We'll have to make sure the video camera is charged!

Question of the day: If you were a baby, what would you want as your first food? OR Any good first foods stories?

Noisy Baby

Pre-Bath Playtime with Daddy...

Saying... something about our choice in toys??

Hungry Hippo?

So this baby keeps staring at me when I eat. Is he wondering what I'm doing, or is he wanting to eat big people food too?

Also, he has taken to rocking backward and forward when sitting on a lap. Backward and forward, backward and forward, backward and forward... until he rocks himself right to sleep. Silly Baby!

Happy (4 Month) Birthday!

Today Liam is 4 months old! He can roll over, blow raspberries, and jabber like it's his job. And this week he can sit up... but keep a hand nearby - he is still a little tippy!

This past weekend we made a whirlwind trip to Wisconsin. First, Liam visited with his Aunt Celeste, Uncle Roger, and Great Grandma Mary. Uncle Roger watched a baseball game on TV with Liam and now Liam is an expert.

On Friday night he met Grandpa J's family - Aunt Mary and Uncle Gary, Aunt Jane, Aunt Judy, and Bonnie. Cousins Scott and Anna were there too, along with Cousin Carrie and baby Addison. Mommy's godfather Dennis and his wife Becky came to visit, and so did Aunt Haley and her mom and dad.

Saturday evening he went tailgating for Mommy's 10 year high school reunion, enjoyed his first live baseball game (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers vs. the Great Lakes Loons), and saw his first fireworks (which were MESMERIZING).

He spent Sunday after church with Grandma J's family and met his cousins, Brittany and Ashton, cousins Nicole, Phil, and Sara, Aunt Carol and Uncle Wayne, Aunt Colleen and Uncle Lynn, Aunt Nancy, and Great Grandma Biwer.

On the way out of Madison we got a flat tire...and Liam took care of it all by himself in a Menard's parking lot...with a little help from Daddy. Monday we finished the drive home, ending Liam's first roadtrip adventure.

Question of the day:
What was your favorite roadtrip, and why?

Roll Over, Rover!

10:22am this morning, Liam rolled over ALL BY HIMSELF! Mommy will try to get a video... if he does it again. Yay!

The Pyramids Were Built by Slaves

This weekend Daddy and Liam worked on removing the stumps from in front of the house.

Morning walks

Today Liam and I decided to get in shape.
I suggested we take an aerobics class, but he said he didn't look good in spandex.
He thought maybe a swimming class would be fun, but I pointed out the fact that it is against the law for Mommy to wear swimming suits.
We settled on walking.
On today's walk we made two laps around the yard and learned about poison ivy, and how to avoid it. We saw some mole runs and learned what cherry trees look like. We picked a couple raspberries and looked at the Live Forever planted on the southside of the house. We talked about playing basketball and going camping in the camper.
It was a very nice walk!

Item: One baby on safari.
Liam would like to know: Where is your favorite place to walk?
